Tae Estiwares Recetveo.— Chairman Hunt, of the Summerside Town Council, has received from Prof. Lee an estimate of the cost of waterworks and sewerage for that towo. The estimate for the waterworks syatem ie $72,000, and for the sewerage $30,000. The report and de- tailed plans bave not yet been received.

A Ceyrewartan- Mrs. Edward Taylor, of Afton, Antigonish County, N. 8S. cele- brated her ove hundredth birthday on Sunday, Novewber l4th. Mrs. Taylor was born in Gnysboro County, Nova Scotia. About fifty of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren called on ber on Sunday. She possesses al] her faculties, though her sight is slightly impaired.

In so short a period of time few lives are permitted to see such fruits of their toil,

Mrs. McLeod was the daughter of Mrs. Mary M Stewart, of Belle Kiver, and was favourably known in different Island com- munities as a public school teacher. Her remains were interred at Belfast, the Rev. J.C. Spurr, assieted by Revs. Stewart and Sinciair, conducting the services.
