..'LODGE MEETING - The reg- ular meeting of Hillside Lodge, I.0.0.F., Montague. was held on Tuesday evening. December 2nd, with V.G.J. Malcolm MacKenzie presiding. Twenty-two members were present. Under the capable direction of degree master William McLean, the degree team confer- red the second degree on six can- didates. It is expected that the final degree will be conferred on those candidates next Tuesday night. At the previous meeting last week, the members of the lodge were pleased to entertain quite a number of brothers, from the Charlottetown lodges, including District Deputy Clifford Keenan. After the meeting adjourned a hearty lunch was served The of- ficial chef, Bro. Bruce MacPhee, capably presided over the lunch committee.

. RA quiet wedding was solemn- ized at the Manse. Murray Harbour North, on Saturday November l5th when the Rev. Earl Currie united in marriage Ida Thankful. daughter of Alex E. and the late Mrs Richards of Gladstone to Walter Grant; son of Mr and Mrs. Hugh Campbell of Peters Road.

The bride looked charming in a street length dress of midnight blue velvet, with rhinmtone neck- lace and earings. Her corsage was of American Beauty roses.

She was attended by her sister Mrs. Harold Beaton, who was dress- ed in brown taffeta with corsage of yellow roses. The groom was ably supported by Mr. Hamid Beaton.

Immediately following the cer- emony they motored to Char- lottetown for a. wedding supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Beaton. where immediate relatives of the bride and groom had gather- ed. Centering the bridal table which was gaily decorated was a three tiered wedding cake,topped with a miniature bride and groom.

They were the recipients of many beautiful and useful gifts, including a lovely gift from Memorial L.O.B.A. of which the bride is a member. They will reside in Peters Road.

On Wednesday evening November 26th a large number of friends and neighbours gathered at the home of Mr. Alex E. Richards, Gladstone. to attend a miscellaneous shower in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Campbell
