The M.A.P.U.S. Connection

for Mature and Part-time Students

Nowis your chance to get involved in a fast growing segment of the student population at UPEI! The executive met last week to decide on a date for the MAPUS annual general meeting. It has been scheduled for Wednesday March 24th at 12:30 in the Mapus Lounge. All mature and part-time students are in- vited. Pizza will be served.

Elections for the executive sitions for next year’s Mapus Board will be on the agenda. The current executive mem- bers are Wylie Hall, Presi- dent, Janice Muir Vice- President, James O’Holloran as Secretary- Treasurer, John MacBeth as Student Council Rep and Liz Statts as Senate Rep. All of these positions are open and nominations will be accepted until March 19 at noon. If you are interested, or know someone who can do a really good job represent- ing mature and part-time students on campus, pews let a member of the executive know. :

Other items dis- cussed at the executive meeting last week include the status of the MAPUS scholarship fund,

was not enough students interested and that trying to get a good time to fit everyone's schedule would mean holding more than one meeting. Maybe next year folks.
