LAUNCHED.—From the Shipyard of Mr. Daniel Flynn, Bay Wortune, on the 11th inst, a Brig of 160 tons new, and 204 old measurement, called the SporTinG Lass. This vessel is to be fitted out to prosecute the Seal Fishery, being modelled and finished for the purpose.

The undersigned inhabitants of believing the order of the Sons of Temperance to be well calculated to extend the blessings of Total Absti- nence, and promote the general welfare of mankind, re- spectfully petition the Grand Division of Prince Edward Island to grant them a Charter to open a new Division, to be called the Division, No. Sons of Temperance of the Island of Prince Edward, to be lo- cated in and under the jurisdiction of the said Grand Division.

We pledge ourselves individually and collectively, to be governed by the rules and usages of the said Grand Division, and also, by those of the National Di- vision.

Upon receiving the enclosed certificate I am directed by the Grand Worthy Patriarch to state, that as soon as practicable, he will attend with the Grand Conductor, or will send a Deputy duly authorised, to open the Divi- sion.

As itis desirable that the principles of this truly noble and philanthrophic order should be diffused throughout the Island, it is to be hoped, that those per~ sons who are in favour of ‘Temperance would unite, so that Divisions may be established in every settlement of the Colony. 3. The pecuniary relief of sick Brethren.

4. The encouragement of morality.

BONSHAW ESTATE, consisting of 315 acres of Freehold Land, beautifully situated on West or Elliot River, of which it commands aview. It is 13 miles from Charlottetown, bounded on the south by the ‘T'ryon Road, and on the east by the West River—one of the finest trouting streams in the Island, from which Oysters can also be obtained a few miles lower down. It is in the immediate vicinity of Saw and Grist Mills. About 70 acres of the above are in cultivation, and the remainder under a growth of Hard- wood, with a sufficiency of Spruce, Vaar and Hemlock for building and fencing purposes. The Dwelling House was built about seven years, ago and consists of 2 Center, with projecting wings and colonnadé, having Drawing and Dining Rooms, two Bed Chambers, En- trance Hall, 14 feet square, back Hall (all papered), and Kitchen on the ground floor. ‘There are two chambers
