John Francis MacDonald also ‘pleaded guilty to a third charge of the attempted theft of 50 75- lb bags of potatoes belonging to Jerome O’Brien. He has been remanded for sentence on all three charges while the younger MacDonald has been given a two- year suspended sentence.
