Since there are only a cou— ' ple of weeks left, I will try to’include as many important facts in the next reports as possible.

In my previous articles, I have tried to shit on what— ever I felt should be shit on. So, today after all that shitting, I would like to point’out Some of the good things happening in the co- rrections here in P.E.I. This is not to say that there are no more bad things to talk about‘but just to let everyone know where I stand concerning the issue. There will be more bad stuff next week. ' ‘ )

I am quite happy to admit that I've had it pretty good for the last 2/3 of my time. The national parole system is really good. After ser- ving 1/3 of your time if you have a job or go to school and prove yourself worthy during the first l/3 of your time, every possible break is given to you to prepare you for "returning to so- called society". While on

' day-parole, I was given two week-ends off and on'a third week-end I was allowed to ‘ attend a conference in Hali- fax. Now that is a pretty lenient parole system. I am out for an average of nine hours every week day, which is ample time to do my stud— ies and even visit a few

The island system of parole Xtemporary leave) which is used before national parole comes or if national parole is not issued, is not nearly as lenient as national but they'll let you have some- thing important to do.

These two systems of parole are ample proof that the boys in blue are quite ready to give you a break as long as you prove yourself worthy. (And that's good.)

The next point that I would

example of a ridiculous rule so‘I feel that it is a good move by this group to try to have the old rules revised to make the system seem, as they call it, "to suit the occasion more".

I would certainly hope that this group of interested people are also pushing for a more varied activities pro— gram and a few other things needed around here.
