WEYMOUTH, N.S. (CP)—The second major fire in two years ripped through the close-packed business district Friday night de- stroying six buildings in less than three hours. :

There was no immediate esti- mate of damage but a voluiteer fire department spokesman said “it will be well over $100,000." There were no casualties.

The fire, believed started by a propane gas explosion in the kitchen of a restaurant, swept from building to building on the Main Street. A river which di- vides the village checked the wild rampage. ,
