Miss Annie MacLeod of French River W.l. assisted by Mrs. Allan Campbell, Long River W. I. gave a full and interesting account of achievements Day held recently in French River. Three institutes viz. Long River, F ench River and Sprlngbroolc anized an Adult Sewigg Class early last fall. which prov a valuable help to many ladies, some of whom never oper- ated a sewing machine before these classes were held and who now can make several articles of apparel. -

The question of organizing a Film Board Council in conjunction with New London W. I. was fully discussed and it was unanimously decided that Success W.l. share in buying a screen and projector. Mrs. Francis Murray and Mrs. Ray MacLead were appointed to act on this project. 310.00 was voted for TB. League, also collectors were appointed to solicit for Children's Aid Society. Miss Mary C. Campbell expressed her willing- ness to attend the Red Cross Re- fresher Course to be held in Char- lottetown. A sale of fancy articles auctioned by Mrs. J. M. Campbell realized the sum of 330.05 and 84.70 was collection taken. Meeting close with "The King". after whldt Red Cross sewing and knit- ting were given around to the members. Mrs. Walter Wigmore assisted in serving lunch.

The Meadcwbank Women's In- stltute entertained the members of the Clyde River Women's Institute at the home of Mrs. Victor Mac- Phsll- at their regular December meeting.

The meeting opened in the usual manner. After this a number of beautiful Christmas carols were sung accompanied by Mrs. L.l-I. Drake on the piano. The president men welcomed the b a from the visiting Institute.

After the reading of the minutes a lighter vein was introduced when each member of both Institutes answered roll call with a joke.

It -was decided to make candy and buy apples for the children's Christmas treat. Gifts were passed in for the orphanage children.

The January meeting will be held at the school when roll call will be answered with "Something I would like to see done by our Institute this year." Miss Laura Crosby. Mrs. Charles Hyde and Mrs. Pearle Scott will serve lunch.
