1967 CENTENNIAL PROJECTS

Pursuant to agreement between the National, Centennial Adminfs- tration,-Ottawa and the Province of Prince Edward Tland, and with the desire that the 1967 Centennial may be observed within Prince Edward

The Prince Edward Island Centennial Grants Committee (Committee of Administration) invites applications for proposed 1967 Centennial projects.

Briefly summarized the following pertains:

(1) All applications to be submitted by an “initiating agency” which may be a city, town, village, municipality, school district, etc. or a group- ing of such jurisdictions desiring a joint project.

(2) Federal Provincial matching grants will be available for ap- proved projects on the following maximum schedule for each initiating

agency. : $1.00 per eapita $1.00 per capita $1.00 per capita

Dominion Statistician. Initiating agencies may further supplement the above schedule.

(3) It is necessary for the 1967 Centennial projects to be of a lasting nature and broadly stated may include: (a) the acquisition or construction of parks and buildings of a recreational or cultural nature. the acquisition or restoration of buildings of historical or architee- tural merit.
