MR. WEBB NICHOLSON On April 28th, 1959, the people
of Whim Road and surrounding
districts were shocked and sad- dened by the news that their good friend and neighbor, Mr. Webb Nicholson had passed away in the Montague Hospital.
The deceased was in his usual health up until the morning of his death when he suffered a brain hemmorhage and was taken to hospital where he passed away a short time later at the age of 57. Webb, as he was in- timately known by a large circle of frietds and acquaintances, was the only ‘son of the late Archie and Annie (MacInnis) Nicholson and lived all his iife in the old home at Whim Road. In 1932 he mar- ried Verna, \daughter of Mrs. Vernon Shaw and the late Mr. Shaw of B , who survives him together with their four sons, Barrie with the Canadian Army in Germany; Cecil, Lyman and

Base metals reduced their losses slightly at the close but remained off almost one point. Western oils dipped -more than threequarters, closing at a 1959 index low for the second day in a row. Golds were off nearly one- half.
The final volume was 2,687,000 shares, well down from Monday’s 3,337,000. Of the five most active speculatives two gained, three lost. Tombill Gold was the leader
