ors do not'pay here ( to see a superior product??? we are not so presumptous as to suggest what the various Athletic Depart- ments should do in this matter, but several of our students have expressed an opinion that there should be uniform policy.
Our "BOO" of the week goes to those who reserved spaaa on the bus, did not pay, and did not let the Student Union know they would not be honouring their reserv- ations. The bus trip was great fun, by the way & Vera is terrific.
The Fall Festival starts on the 25th & the Panther Booster Club is sponsoring 2 Hockey games at the Forum on the 25th and 28th. Sir George Williams & Loyola in that order..both were listed in the top _fiVe in Canada last season so this will be a good chance to see if Vince Mulligan is correct when he says that we'll be in there again this year. On Thurs. night a bus will be taking students to and from the Forum (and we have asked for Vera again) ...don't miss the new hockey~Pant~ hers in their Debut.

So much emphasis is going on men's sports it occured to me that about half the student body is female and we have athletics toollAnd as I am often reminded the girls pay athletic fees!! The thought made me talk to Barbara Mullaly from whom I got information on the two sports currently being em— phasized by "OUR" side.
In Field Hockey this is our first year in the Sen- ior Intercollegiate League after being Intermediate Champions last year. To date we have won one, tied three and lost only one game. Top scorers are Shirley Mokler and Mary
.Bradley‘and we are getting
real good goalkeeping from Sandra Dunsford who has moved into the nets after being a forward last year.
Remaining games will have
our girls at X, Dal and Acadia and Memorial here on October 27.
In Basketball, conditioning‘ begins October 24 with try- outs starting November 5 & Coach Barb Mullaly has high hopes for a good turnout and a successful season with last years returnees and a large number of Freshmen trying to make the squad. *
lst. home game will be Dec: 7 when the UNB Red Bloomers Visit us..
