Lonpon, Nov. 24.—The Rigkt Honorable Charles Ritchie, Presiiient of the Board of Trade, delivered an important speech before the Chamber of Commerce yester- day, taking as his themethe decline of British exports for the teu months,—upon which he hung a grave warning against the United States competition now ousting British trade. “The facts are serions,”’ he said, ‘and call upon us for the exercise of all our powers to maintain our position in the commercial world. There is no doubt that the United States are executing many Orders which ought to be executed here.”
