What's on at the Panther Lounge

Lambert! Lambert! Lambert!

Over the past two years here at UPEI no other performer has had

as much success at the Barn as Newfie born and bred, Bob |

Lambert. He is the only performer who we book for both first and second semester. His hilarious songs and biting comedy provide a great atmosphere to have a few pops! and have a memorable time down at the Barn. We always have trouble getting staff to work Lambert night because they all would rather party it up with Bob, than watch everyone else have a blast. Bob has been nominated five years, consecutively as Canadian Campus Musical Comedy and Entertainer of the year and will undoubtedly put ona great performance on Thursday, November 26.

Dark and Dirty Fridays have also begun at the Panther Lounge. Every Friday starting at 5:00 pm double dark and dirties go on special and the first 35 customers will receive a free Bacardi Highball glass.

Next week’s movies at the That’s Entertainment movie pub will be Patriot Games and My Girl. The following week (the day after Bob Lambert rolls through the Barn), the movie pub will be a Monty Python affair. The Meaning of Life and The Life of Brian will be our two features. We’re now in the planning stages to start Karokee right after the second movie. It should be good for a few laughs, especially after a few jugs of draught during the movie pub.

Jam Night and the Panther Lounge would like to take time out to mention some of the Jammers we’ve had over the past several weeks. These Jammers include Karl Johnston, Justin Beaulieu, John Boyle, Kelly Redmond, Tina McKenna, Mike Johnston, Darren Tuck, Curry Keoughan, Todd King, Brian Arsenault, Peter Wynne, Geoffrey Matheson and Tom Cothiau. It’s these people which make Jam Night the huge success which it is.

One more thing, The Big Blast before Christmas (we all know what it’s really called) will be on Thursday DC ecember 17th and not the 18th as we stated in a earlier column.
