Johnston’s River and adjoining Settle- ments met in Glenfinnan Schoolhouse on Thursday, 17th September, for the purpose of forming s Farmer's Club, to be known as ‘“‘The Farmers’ Club of Hickey’s Wha-f.”’ After adopting a code of By-iaws for tieir guidance, the following officers were elected :

By united effort, and by having their pro- duce in good order, the members of this Ciub will be prepared to deliver cargoes of preduce at Hickey’s Wharf at short notice, and to the satisfaction of shippers who may favor them with their patroaage, as Hickey’s Wharf is one of the best shipping places on the Island.
