The opening session was scheduled to commence st l0 o'clock but it was 11.15 when President '1'. n. lnilden of Toronto called the roll and got the delegates down to businua. at 12.15 there was an adjournment until 2 o'clock for luncheon. ‘

Vaccination . Strongly Urged ' In Campaign

The campaign for having the school children of the Province vac- cinated is now well under why. Noth- .ng has been leit undone by Dr. Creel- nmn oi the provincial health ofllce and by Misc Mona Wilson oi the Bed Cress to insure a euccesslul issue to the campaign. A Red Cross nurse and s doctor will ylsit every school. The vaccine will be provided by ‘the pro- vincial government. The children will be charged 25 cent/s each in order to de- iray incidental . The oppor- tunity of having children vaccinated at this low rate is open only to those attendinl school, and will not be available again. It is suggested. there- .ore, that parents realizing that their children must b»; vaccinated below: entering Prince o! Wales College, should take iuli advantage of it. The plan is to be carried out year only in order to reduce the danger oi a possible outbreak o! small-pox, owing to the tact that 85% o! thacouniry children are unvacclnated, and that this is the class that would suffer most. All the doctors throughout the country have received letters asking them to co-operste in this work and to help in their locality. All answers so far received, show that the dccwrs are willing to do everything possible. Ihe secretaries o! trustee board have received letters with lull details o! the plans, and they are asked to give their heartieat mviwrt and co-op- eratlon. ‘Iiha teachers also have all received letter-a advising them regard- ing the campaign, and telling them how they should be prepared on the day on which vaccination takes place.
