made and passed in the 'l'iventy-lburtli year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intitnled “An Act relating to the Land Assessment at present imposed by Law on the Town and Royalty of l’rincetown,” and also of an Act made and passed in the Twenty- seventh year of the same reign, intituled. “ An Act to consolidate and amend the several Laws imposing an Assessment on all Lands in this Colony and tor the encouragement of Education.”

I do hereby publicly notify the owners or occupiers of Lands in this Island, for which the unuqu Assessment or Assessments charged thereon by the said recited Acts, or some one or more of them, of nine shillings and two pence lawful money of this island for every hundred acres of Wilderness or unimproved Lands, cmnained in the several Townships and the Islands belonging thereto; and the sum of six shillings and eight pence oflike money for every hundred acres of cultivated or improved Lands in the said several 'l‘owuslnps and Islands as aforesaid; and at the rate of nine shillings and two pence of like money per hundred acres for wilderness or unimproved Town- Lots and Pasture Lots in the Town and Boyd .y of Princetown; and at the rule ofsix shillings and eight pence of like money per hundred. acres for cultivated or improved Town Lots and Pasture Lots in the Town and Royalty of Princetown as aforesaid; and the. sum of four shillings of like money lor each and every uncultivated or unimproved Town Lot, Common Lot and Water Lot, grant- ed in the Town and Common of Com lottetown; and the sum of six shillings of like money for each and every uncultivated or unimproved Pasture Lot in the Royalty of (Iliarlottctown; and the sum of four shillings of like money for each and every cultivated or improved Pasture Lot in the Royalty; and the sum of two shillings and six pence of like money for each and every cultivated or improved Town Lot and Water Lot in the said Town; and the sum of two shillings of like money for each and every cultivated or im- proved Common Lot as aforesaid; and the stun of [We shillings and‘ eight pence of like money for each and every uncultivated or unim- proved Town Lot and \Vater Lot in the Town of Georgetown; and the sum of one shilling and four pence of like "'1"!le for each and every cultivated and improw-d Town Lot and \Vater Lot in the last mentioned Town; and the sum of three shillings and four pence of like money for each and every uncultivated or unimproved Pasture Lot in the Royalty of Georgetown: and the sum of two shillings of like money for each and cvcry cultivated or improved Pasture Lot in the last mentioned Royalty; and the sum of two pence of like money for each and every acre of cultivated or improved Lands in the Royalty of Georgetown, called Reserwd Lands; and the sum oftliree pence of like money for each and every acre of such-last mentioned Lands as may be dcetned uncultivated or unimproVed Lands; and so in proportion for a less quantity—is payable; that unless the Assessment or Assessments for the current year, imposed by the said recited Acts, or some one or more of them, be paid- into my hands, or the hands of any of my Deputies, (as required by law,) on or before the Sixth day of DECEMBER next, I shall proceed against all such Lands as shall then be in artear fornon-pay- ment ofthe sums charged thereon.
