The death occurred at his home, 105 Pownal BL, Charlottetown on Monday, October 21st" 1946- 0i.‘ James R. Brown in his 85th. year. The lat; Mr. Brown was owner of the Brown Electric, which busi- ness he conducted successfully for the past 3i) years. The funeral was

for many years,

and upright in his dealindl. his acts of charity and kindness will long be remembered.

He was a member of the League of the Cross far many years. Ho earnestly worked to keep the younger members in the path of sobriety and honesty. He was the oldest usher in St. Dunstan’: Ba- silica.

Solemn High Man of Requiem was celebrated on Thursday morn- ing in 5t. Dunstan’: Basilica by Rev. Wilfred McCardle. assisted by Rev. Francis MacDonald, deacon and Rev. Kenneth MacMillan, sub- deacon. Present in the sanctuary were: Rev. Leo l-ferreli and Rev- George MacCormack who were with him at the hour of his death. Interment took place in the Catho- lic Cemetery where service were conducted by Rev. Franl-‘s Mac- Donald.
