Last year, 20—year—old Kinkora native Kevin McCarville, from University of Prince Edward Island won the P.E.I. racing crown and went on to win the Canadian Chanpionship.

Six U.P.E.I. students will be driving for, provincial crown, and the winner of Thursday night's race will compete in the National final at Mohawk Raceway, Ontario, for $2,000 in scholarships provided by the Canadian Trotting Association. They will also be trying for National Association of Canadian Race 'I'rad<'s Trophy, which U.P.E.I. has won twice in the ‘laSt three years.

BLANCHARD BLASTS DAY STUDENTS———VERBALLY

NO games were played in intramurals last week due mostly to the inclement weather. only one game escaped the wind and rain - that being the one .scheduled between Blanchard and the Day Students. This game Vas supposed to be a continuation of the one held earlier in the season between these Same two teams. That one was halted by, Hurricane Freddy ‘after'only two innings. Hurricane Freddywas not at‘fault this time, hOWeVer, as Blanchard showed up for the game
