UNGGION. Ont.. Feb. 14-(OP) - A site has been selected for the International Hockey Hall of Fame and construction of the 3100.000 shrine will start this year. it was announced yesterday.

The building will be put up in downtown central Kingston and will face. out over the harbor at the eastern end of lake Ontario.

The land. about 90 feet in width and no feet in depth. has been donated by the Frontenac County Council. It is near the century-old county court house and adjacent to Kingston's historic cricket field.

Announcement was made at the annual meeting of members of the Hall of Fame committee here.

At the meeting. Police Chief J. T. Truaisch of Kingston was added to the Board of Directors and Kerr Petrie. New York Times hockey writer. to the Board of Governors.

Decision ip build the Hockey Hall of Fame in Kingston -was reached several years ago after "a lengthy campaign in which this lhstern Ontario city and Halifax emerged as the chief claimants to the title of birthplace of hockey.
