Another performer that showed real class was Royal Onyx a bay gelding by Simcoe Harvest- er, bred and owned by George A. Callbeck, making his first start he surprised the spectators and all the knowing horsemen present by winning from norms with records as low as 2.11 2-5. The time was 2.14. In the sixth race, with the same field he made a break going away, lost a lot of ground and ﬁlm-shed third to Dr. Wilfred C., owned and driven by George W, the win- ner in 2.14 - a new record for the Summer-side horse. .

In the seventh race, the first dead heat we have seen in a long, long time occurred when Billy June, winner of the fourth race in 2.15 1-5, and Jolly Bruce, own- edby George Brookins and driv- en by Colin. Blot, showed that way'in the photo finish, time 2.14 2-5. which“ is a new record for Jolly Bruce. Billy June is owned by Stanley Mayhew and was driven by Art Buriblne. STRONG FIELD .
