IS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council has been pleased to make the following appointments, viz :—

recovery of Small Debts for the Court at Saint Eleaner’s, in the place of Mr. Joseph Belony Perry, resigned.
illr. Peter Gordon to be Wharfinger for the Wharf at North Brudeuell, in the place of Mr. John Stewart.
Mr. Peter Gordon to be an Inspector of Fish for North Brudenell, in terms of the Act of 22 Victoria, Cap. 8.
Mr. Thomas Moor to be Wharfinger for the Wharf at South Brudcnell, in the place of Mr. Archibald MacLaren.
Mr. Thomas Near to be an Inspector of Fish for South Brudencll, in terms of the Act of 22 Victoria, Cap. 5.
llfr. Francis Cook to be Postmaster at Murray Harbour Head. in the place of Mr. Thomas Lowe, in terms of the Act of 14 Victoria, Cap. 12.
Mr. Richard Hayes to be Harbour Master and Ballast Master for Colville Bay, in the place of Mr. Marshal Pocquet, resigned.

Tenders for Lunatic Asylum.
THE Trustees of the Lunatic Asylum are desirous of con- tracting for the supply of the Institution for six months, from the let of August, 1867, with the following articles, viz :
Fresh BEEF, per lb. FLOUR, Island, per lb.
do American, per barrel, OATMEAL, per lb. 6 TONS Sydney Round COAL. 15 TONS Pictou Round, and 30 TONS Pictou Slack COAL.
The BEEF to consist of fore and bind quarters, which, with the other articles, are to be delivered at the Asylum, to order, when required.
Tenders for each, separately or together, will be received at the Asylum. or at the office of Theophilus DesBrisay, Esqr., until WEDNESDAY, the 3lst day of JULY, instant, at 12 o’clock, noon.

HIS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council was this day pleased to fix and determine the rate at which the amount of the Invoice of Dutiable Goods, imported into this Island from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the duties payable thereon, be reduced into current money of the Island, as follows:—
In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents ot’the paper currency of the United States, the amount 0t such Invoice shall be reduced into current money of this Island, by allowing for each Dollar the sum of FOUR SHILLINGS AND SIX~PENCE, and in the like proportion for any fraction of a D01- lar: of which all Collectors of lmpost are to take notice and govern
