Grain That Does Not Rast. Sik,—The Island Farmer of the 12th hes a letter from Jas. D. Dewar, Es, , of Mon- tague, in which he gives an account of seine ‘*Demoerat’ wheat which he has grown, | and which he says was untouched by rust, tield and circumstances where Russian was badly rusted. He wishes to know the reason of this.

The list of maritime province trotters and pacers, with records, which we pub- lished last year for the first time in the his- tory of the turf in the provinces, met with sv much favor, that we have compiled another list, including those which reduced their records or made new records this season. Much time and labor have been spent in preparing the list, which has been made as correcta possible with the inior- mation at hand, but there may be a few wnaccuracies, and there also may be some omissions, but if any of our readers observe the same we will be juite pleased if they will give us any information, so that the list may be made as complete as possible. We have given the pedigree in every in- stance where known; and where the name of the sire is omitted, we would be pleased to have the omission supplied.
