Miss Miller, a Prince Edward Island girl. is at present spend- ing a vacation at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Gor- don Miiiar. Elierslie.

After completing commercial studies at Prince of Wales Col- lege. Charlottetown. Miss Miiiar was employed in Summerslde and Ottawa. the Presbyterian Missionary and Deaconess Training School. Tor- onto. graduating in June 1954. Shortly afterwards in Zion Church, Charlottetown, Miss Miiiar was designated a Deaconess in the Presbyterian Church in Canada, by the Presbytery of Prince Ed- ward island. -As a student missionary Miss Miiiar did survey work in Dart- mouth. N. S. for the Presbytery of Halifax and Lunenburg. and also'worked among the Indians in Reserves in Manitoba. Sask- atchewan and North Western Ontario. For the past year she has been doing mission work for the Presbyterian Church among the Indians of Manitoba.

David Bchurman. 10-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Schur- mau. Central Bedequo. had his left wrist broken. his left ankle sprained. and . ived multiple minor bniises just at dark last evening when the Royal Enfieid motorcycle on which he was rid- ing was struck by a car driven by Gilbert Arsenault of Bedeque.

The accident occurred on the highway opposite the feed ware- house operated by Amalgamated Dairies at Central Bedeque.

Mr. A. enault, accompanied by his wife and members of his family. was proceeding in the direction of Summerside and was in the process of turning into the. warehouse yard where he intend- ed to pick up some feed when the collision occurred.

The motorcycle was proceeding along the highway in the opposite direction to the car. When the crash happened the motorcycle rider was thrown to the pave- ment and the car. before com- ing to a halt, continued off the pavement dragging the motor- cycle underneath the front end.

The injured rider, DavidSchur- man. last spring completed his fourth year studies at Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown.
