The Central Christian Church. Charlottetown was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday. September II. when Joan Victoria, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles D. Stewart, Charlottetown was uni- ted in marriage to George Arthur, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cud- more, Braoklevy, P.E.I.
The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. M. D. Dunbar. Baskets of gladioli were used as decorations and tiny nosegays of pink and white flowers tied with satin ribbon marked the pews for the guests.
Mrs. Allison Macias presided at the organ and Min I-Ielsn Roach sang "I'll Walk Beside You" before the ceremony, and "Because" dur- ing the signing of the register.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a. floor- length gown of white tulle and chantilly lace over white satin. Her fingertip veil fell from a. head piece of lace and satin and she carried a cascade bouquet of dark red roses. Her onLy ornament was a pearl nbcklace, the gift of the groom. -
Miss Anita Cudmore, sister of the groom, was the brides attendant, and she wore a floor-length gown of fuschia. irridescent taffeta with matching headdress and net mit- tens, and carried a bouquet of yel- low roses.
The groom was attended by Mr. Stuart MacKay and the ushers were Mr. Charles Wise and Mr. David MacLeod.
The bride's mother chose for her daughter's wedding a dress of cop- per ii-ridesccnt taffeta with green accessories and a corsage of yellow gladioli. The grooms mother wore it dress of black silk crepe with pink accessories and a corsags of pink gladloli.
Following the ceremony a recep- tion and buffet luncheon was held for a large number of friends and relatives at Villa Waters. A three- tier wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom cen- tered the bride's table, with tapers and bouquets of white flowers on either side. The toast to the bride was proposed by Rev. M. D. Dun- bar and responded to by the groom. Assisting in serving were a number of friends of the bride. i l Amid sjiowers of confetti the couple left on a honeymoon trip to the United States. For travelling the bride chose a two-piece suit of hrige cord-ed silk with white ac- cessories and a oorsage of pink

The Super- intendent, W. Russell Rogers, out- lined the program" and extended a welcome to all. He spoke of the work accomplished by the Sunday School during the past sumlner and congratulated the teacher. and all for their interest taken in Sun- day School work. A prlma.ry pup- il. M.VTna Clements, gave a welcome to all. Mr. Donald MacLean, Tyne Valley, gave an outstanding address to the young as their duty and privilege to build for the future. In 1932. James Chadwick, working with Rutherford. discovered a particle of the nucleus that was not charg- ed with electriclty.
