Display or Sxwinc.—The display of plain and fancy crewing in St. Joseph's Convent to-day is wel! worth calling to see. There is a large assortment of work, all of which is well done. The work was all done during school hours by the girls, whose ages range from five veers upwards, and its excellence and variety speaks eloquently cf the instruction im- parted by the good sisters. Prominent in the display of fancy sewing is what is called a Friendship Cushion, the work of Miss J. DesRoches. This cushion is made of innumerable pieces of ribbou upon Which friends have placed their names, Conspicious among the plain eewing are two dresses one of which was made by May Dougan and th? other by Angie Monaghan.
