Gala Day at Dundas. Tue second annual celebration of Scottish games took place yesterday under the auspices of the Caledonian Club of Dundas. Owing, no doubt, to counter «attractions, and were particularly tt) the un- favorable appearance of the weather in the early part- of the day, the gathering was not as large as it would have been under more favorable circum- stances. The best of order was observed the whole day, and the programme of sports was carried out in 4 very impartial and creditable manner. The successful

Leighton Chief, by Aristos, 2.27}, son of Daniel Lambert, beat a good field of blue bloods lin the 2.40 class, trotting, getting a record ‘of 2.30, and Dynamite, by Ben Franklin, 2.29, another son of Daniel Lambert, led the fashionably-bred ones to the wire in the 224 class. Those who have been accustomed to sneer at the Lamberts as trotters must have been surprised at the result. Don’t give up the Lamberts. Re- member that a daughter of Daniel Lambert, bred to Meander, by Belmont, produced
