Berry groping has become big business on Prince Edward ls- lsnd and the growing. picking. retailing or processing of the berries is a far cry from the berry patch that, lay at the end of most farm gardens. just a few years ago. Many of the growers now plant from two to 1.3 acres of strawberry plants. These must be planted the year before and cultivated and head all su . then cavered with straw in the late fall.
