Mayonnaise is a combination of eggs, vinegar. seasonings and a large quantity of salad oil. It is used mainly on more substantial heavy salads such as meat. poul- try or eggs. Chilisauce. finely chopped pickles, cottage cheese or cucumbers can be added for a change.

FRUIT SALAD DRESSING
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons flour
Few grains salt
2 tablespoons cider vinegal
2 tablespoons lemon juice Grated rind of one lemon
Vs cup juice from canned fruit 1 ess
V4-Vs cup mayonnaise
1 cut whipping cream. whipped Mix sugar, flour and salt in top of double boiler. Add vinegar, lemon juice.-.and rind, fruit juice and slightly beaten egg. Blend well.

FISH SALAD DRESING
To add a special touch to any fish salad. add one tablespoon of chopped capers or one-quarter cup of finely chopped pickles to one cup of any type of dressing.
VEGETABLE SALAD DRESSING
2 elgs
1 cup sour cream
1A teaspoon salt
Vs teaspoon dry mustard
2 tablespoons sugar
ii cup cider vinegar
Few drops Worcestershire sauce. Beat eggs until very light, add sour cream, salt, dry mustard, sugar, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Blend well. Cook over hot water, stirring constantly. until thickened. about five minutes. Yield: l-SA cups.

Yield: 15 cup which is sufficient for s tossed salad to serve six.

There passed peacefully away at the home of her son Donald Campbell, Bloomneld, on Monday, May llth, Mrs. Alexander Camp- bell at the ripe old age of ninety- elght years.
The deceased, whose maiden name was Susan Ma.cLeod. was born at U138. daughter of the late Murdock MacLcod and Margaret Gunn of Chatham, New Bruns- wick, and had lived in Brookileld the greater part of her long life, where she set a fine Christian ex- ample in the home and in the community as well.
Her husband predeceased her twenty-three years ago.
I-ler many years of activity be- gan to drawTi.o a close a short time prior to her death when the hand of time seemed to bear heav- upon her, and on the above mentioned date her eyes closed in death.
Mrs. Campbell had nine broth- ers and two sisters, all of whom predeceased her. She was a loyal member-of the Brookileld women's Missionary Society and faithfully attended for over thirty-ave years. She leaves to mourn her son Don-
ald on the homestead, and her daughter, Mrs. Alma Thompson, R.N., of Allstou. Mam; also her
granddaughter Phyllis. l-fer daugh- ter Reta predeceased her in child- hood, also her grandson Alexander
- Norman, in infancy 12 years ago.
The funeral which was held on Wednesday, May lbth from Brook- field Presbyterian Church was largely attended. The service was conducted by her pastor'Rcv. Law- rence Blaiklc. assisted by Rev. Donald Nicholson of Clyde River. Mr. Blaikle spoke words of comfort taking as his text. Hebrews 9th chapter, 2'lth vcrsc: "It is appoint- ed unto men once to die". Basing his remarks on this text Mr. Blaik- ls pointed out that there are other verses in the New Testament which convey the same thought: (1) Here is thy pound which 1 have laid up in a. napkin. (2) Be- cause of the hope that is laid up for you in the Heavens. (3) There is laid up for me a. crown of righteousness which the Lord the righteous Judge shall give me at that day.
The hymns sung were, "The Sands of Time An Sinking", and "son of My Soul". a favourite of the deceased.
The poll-bearers were Cecil Campbell, Archibald Johnson.Ken- neth MacDonald. Sherman Mac- Duff, sterling MacLean and James MacLean.
The floral tributes, besides let- ters and cards of sympathy, spoke of the high esteem in which she wss held.
The remains were laid to rest in Brooknold Comet ,v.

MRS. GORDON WILLIAMS
There parsed away at her home in Westmoreland on July 6, Mrs. Gordon Williams after an illness of only a few days.
The late Mrs. William was a well respected virtuous woman, a kind and helpful neighbour and will be sadly missed by all relatives and friends who loved her so well.
Until her marriage, Mrs. Williams had resided in Charlottetown. Born Annie Mortimer. she was a dau8h- ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mortimer of that City.

She was attended by her youngest sister, Doris, who were a ballerina.-length gown of blue nylon net over taffeta. with match- ing bolero, gloves and hat. she also carried a bouquet of mixed summer flowers.
The groom was supported by his brother Leamon.
Nuptlal music was played by M1,. Helen MacKay, Moncton, N. 3.
The wedding reception was held at Birch l-fill Tourist Lodge (or 84 guests. ,

Mrs. Cole, the groom's mother was attractively dressed in navy blue crepe with white BCC6550I'lco and e. corsage of mixed flowers. Following the reception the young couple left on a. honeymoon trip to the Maritime provinces. For travelling the bride wore a blue nylon dress with white accessories. On their return a reception was held in their honor at the home of the groom's parents for the immediate families. -

Besides her husband, who mourns a loving wife, she is survived by five sisters and two brothers: Carrie, Laura and Helen of Char- lottetown; Minnie, Summerslde; Leah of Boston and Jack and Wil- liam who also reside in the U. S. A. A short service was held at the house followed by I larsely It- tended service at Wcstmoreland Baptist Church, which were con- ducted by Rev. E. J. Barrass and Rev. Lloyd Archer of Tryon.
The pallbearers were Messrs. Ro- land Buchanan, Fred Buchanan. Kelsey Buchanan, Ernest Williams, Gllman Williams and Percy Vail.
