The rooms measure about 83 by 2i fee-t, with tile floors and each room is equipped with an average of 2'5 combined desks with seats attached. The desks are of hard- wood. In Iddition to the new desks. those of modern make which were used llI the former school are utilized. -

There are two very neat wash- rooms. one for boys and one for girls, and also on tho aeoond floor is a. special room with books etc. for the teachers. Hers it is intend- ed to have a radio installed with loud speaker attachment leading into the classrooms, when special subjects of an educational charac- ter ars being broadcast they can be heard by the pupils. A drinking fountain is also to be installed in the school, which is equipped with electric lighting.

The people of 8t. Eleonora have overy reason for pride in their magnificent new school, which has Just been opened. work having been completed by the general contractors, County Construction co. Ltd. The new school ls prob- ably the finest rural school bulld- lng in the province. it. is striking ‘in design and there is absolutely no waste sp cc. .

The bull lng is '10 feet in length and 21 feet wide. It has a total of 32 spacious windows, 24. of which are in the front and all permit of abundant daylight in every room. The windows are six feet in height by four feet in width, the panes of glass being of spacious size.

The building committee of the school district who are responsible for most of the work and planning involved are, Ralph Compton, forc- man. Stanley Tanton, Fred Mill, Earle Cannon. James Chappell, Lorne Benton. Mr. Emery Lyle was the committee secretary. The old, school building has been aold to the Anglican Church to bs used as a hall. — S
