It took years before the younger generation acquired a taste for eel grass and this change in feeding habits is still in process of adjust- ment. Prlor to 1933 when eel grass beds flourished in rank lzrowth off our shores the geese arrived in this province every fall early in Septem- ber. Exhibition Week, in the old days September 24th to 26th. was regarded among the goose hunting fraternity as tops for the season.

The goslinas had to have fresh water and flocked to the inland lakes and ponds.
