Since this was all but forgotten, I’m left to pull together an eleventh hour GLB supplement. Thus, everything here is either old or not ours. I scoured our old X-Press files here (they used to keep files!) and rifled through a few CUP papers to find enough to fill four pages. have to hear from the gay community; GLB issues concern at least 10 per cent of our campus and are welcome in our paper. This supplement certainly won’t dazzle you with information, but hopefully it scratches the surface and pro- vokes a couple thoughts. Look for a more insightful GLB supplement next year.

1. Are there any gay, lesbian, or bisexual people at UPEI?

- No, none.

- Yes, 15 max.

- I’m not really sure, probably a few.

- Yeah, I’ve heard of a couple. You could count them on your hands.

- I don’t know any... I guess not.

- Yes, maybe a hundred.

2. Should their interests be covered in the X- Press?

- It should be covered elsewhere, if at all.

- Yes, there is a public need, people need to know how to protect themselves.

- Have you ever heard of rep by pop?

- Yeah, sure. Why not?

- Yes, but it should be just the facts, it doesn’t have to be so explicit.

3. Is there homophobia (general fear of ho- mosexuals) at UPEI? If so, where have you seen it? :

- Yes, some men are considered gay by the way they dress. - Yes, there is fear in the team locker rooms thal there might be homosexuals there.

-I don’t think so.

- Yes, redneck hockey players.

- Yes, I see it in everybody's attitudes.

- Yes, it would be almost impossible to be an admitted homosexual and go to school here.

4. What does an upside-down pink triang! represent?

We won’t bother showing answers fo! our last question because not one person (and we asked a lot of people) knew the answer. [Se article on the next page for explanation. ]
