Baptists Give $1,500 To Fund

SAINT JOHN, NB. (CPI—The Maritime United Baptist Conven tion has forwarded $1,500 to Springhill to assist those families which were affected by the mine disaster in that town.

Announcement of the conven- tion's decision to send the money was made by Rev. Dr. Henry E. Allaby. Woodstock, president of the convention, and Rev. Harry A. Renfree, the general secretary.

In addition. the head office of the convention in Saint John is acting as a clearing house for contributions from B a p t i s t Churches throughout the Marl- time Provinces.
