Mr. James J. Davis, a former ro- sident of Charlottetown was drowned as a. result of fauing from the gangway leading to his tugboat in Boston harbour on Feb. 11 when seized with a heart at- tack. He was in his 65th year.

Mr. Davis. who was born at spring Pack on the outskirts of Oharlottetown, moved to com- bridae, Mass, with his father when 16 years old and has been en- gineer on s tugboat of the Boa- ton Band and Gravel Company for many years. He was a veteran of the American army in the First World war and was invalided home as a gas casualty.
