Islaod Hospital, to eoable every child on the Island to contri- bute five cents or even less towards its erectiov; the fund to be called “The Children’s Offering for the Erection of the New P.E. Mr. Geo. A. Freeze is visiting the pro- vince on the interests of the Boston and Maine and Maine Central railways. He is registered at the Hotel Davies.

Mise Celta Skerry left for Boston on Saturday morning. On Friday she received avery handsome present from St. Paul’s choir of which she bas been a member for some time.

Souris Notes,

Mr. Hyrman Jacobson hase arrived home from New York with a large supply of gools anda fine young woman, anda number of Jewish clerks to travel the couutry.

The SS. St. Olaf left Souris on the 19th for the Magdalen Islands, with a full cargo of tactory supplies and 150 passengers.

Captain Joseph Tiernay left Souris on the 20th inst with the Nutwood. Sie hae a full cargo of factory supplies and 150 passengers,

The St. Olaf arrived back on the 21st on account of ice; but the brave Captain Joseph Tiernay, who never was afraid of ice, kept the Nutwood agoing.

Capt. J. D, Lavie left Souris on the Lith inst. for Pietou with a cargo of oats. Capt. Alex. Bushy also went with him to board the schr, Satellite.

Capt. Lannigau expects to leave Souris for St. Pierre on Monday next.

The factories are in full blast, some of them having 50 cases packed.
