The conference is not being held to discuss any particular pressing problem. It is regarded as routine because such meetings are held about once every two years. The last, not a full-fledged conference. was in June, 1Mi3. at the time of the Coronation.

Prime ministers are free to breach any subject they wish but try to confide topics to matters of general Commonwealth inter- est.

Reduce Charge To Manslaughter

KENTVILLE. N. S. (CP)-The Crown Friday reduced its charge of murder against Merwin Savean to one, of manslaughter.

The court granted the charge propmtly as Ssvaen listened with- out a change of expression and was later committed -for trial in May.

He is charged with the death of his 26-year-old brother. Alvin, in a Christmas Day fight.
