This is the finishing job of the house itself. Many people, in their haste to get into the house early, make the mistake of rush- ing the. builder at this stage. This is wrong because painting demands as much care as any other phase of construction.

Whether you hire a painter or

paint the house yourself depends.

on your contract with the build- er. Some homeowners do their own painting, usually as an ec- onomy measure.

It should be remembered though that good results depend on the skill of the painter and the quality of the paint. White overalls and a brush do, not make a painter and the use of

cut-rate paints can depreciate rather than -add to the appear- ance of a house. The experenc- ed_ painter has the advantage of knowing the typeof paint to use for any given job.
