Double-Deck Star Cookies -- A star is the most appropriate sym- bol for Christmas, and these pretty star cookies are unusual. Make chocolate or cocoa. Chill. HBV: dough for rolled cookies. Divide in half. and to the one half add melted greased cookie shcels ready. Roll out the white part. Cut out with a star or mund cutter and transfer to the cookie sheets. Then roll out cilocolrltc dough, using a smaller star cutter than you used for the white part. Place cveiliy on top of the white cookies and bake in n moderately hot oven. 376 degrees F., 5 to 7 minutes. The thinner you roll the dough the crlspier and more de- licate the C00kles are. Have the dough well chilled to make it easier to handle. The cookies may be sprinkled with sugar before baking. Holly vtroath: For the dessert tray. Partially ﬁll tart shells with cooled vanilla pudding: top with red gelatine cubes, Arrange the tarts in a circle around a large serving plate. Tuck holly between and around the tarts to form a ring. Doughnut. Wreaths: Frosted doush- nuts rolled in green-tinted coco-unut and decorated with bits of red cherry. Nice served with cranberry sherbet. Holly Wreath Cookies: Cut white roiled cookies with round cutter. Cut again with a smaller cutter and remove the centre. leav- ing a cookie ring.
