From 1927 to 1942 the club grew in numbers and interest and it became ap- parent that the one-sheet would no longer sufflceyln 1942 plans were finalised to construct I new two- aheet rink. and the necessary negotlItions were completed. with the outstanding assistance of Mr. Fred G. The final session saw the best. hockey of the night with constant attacks by both teams keeping up a terrific pace and attack. Both goalies rose to stellar heights as they used everything in the book to kwp the puck out of the net. Montague finally broke through to break the tie with fine team work by Hughes. Carrol and Arseiiaull. only have the lead cancelled on a solo by Mclnnis. Neither team was able to crack the other's defense for the rest of the game although the pressure became even more pronounced. anti with the final whistle both teams were chcer- ed off the ice.
