The death occurred Monday, Sept. 19, in Edmonton Hospital of Everett Hogan, formerly nf Hope River. P. E. I.

Mr. Hogan was employed for many years with the Federal De- partment of the Interior, and spent many years far north of Ed- monton, Alfa, in charge of rein- deer hsrds. He was looked upon as a very valuable public servant. I-Ie was stricken last year by a serious illness which forced his retirement from duty and ended fatally.

The Rev. David Millar McGowan, B.A., retired minister, passed away on Sunday morning, August 7th. at the Prince County Hospital. Summerslde, in his eighty-fourth year. Mr. McGowan was a native of Tnbermorc, County Derry, North- ern Ireland and was educated at the Coleraine Academics} Institu- tion. Quecn‘: College and the Presbyterian College, Belfast. He was ordained in .1396 in Kllklna- murrey CnnSZToZflflOn, County Down.

Mr. McGowan made full proof of his work in the gos- pel ministry and retired in 1935. Hc was a country minister and took no part in the work of the church courts. but he discharged his ministerial duties faithfully. He was much given to hospitality and loaves behind many friends both lay and clerical.

He was married twice. his first wlfc died In Purdue, Sask., and left. two children. a boy and a girl, His adn pit-deceased him and his daughter, Mrs. George Sharp. East Birleford, P. E. 1., survives.
