—'.l‘he concert in the King George Hall. Kenslngton on Wednesday and Thursday nights, presented by the United Church choir and Young People was a decided success. Theatre goers of Kenrington were treated to a feast of music and song, a one-act. comedy and sever- al readings by way of variety. The enjoyment of the large audience. which tilled the hall on both nights. was amply demonstrated by their rapt attention and hearty no. plause. The first numbe on the program was a piano duet by Rev. Lewis Murray and Mrs. John Walker. This was followed by the one-act play "His First Dreu Suit." Mrs. Thomas Humphry. taking the part of the mother, Mrs. Harding. remains calm and collected in spite of the many problems beset- ting the mother o! a bride-to-be. She soothes her irate son who can't wait to get Washed and don hrs first dress suit and also consoles the Iroom-to-be, a part played by Mr. Glendon Cotton In his usual capable manner, who fails to zet his dress suit in time for the eel-e- rnorry. '!'i1e last straw is the news that the minister who was to o!- ficlate has had an accident. The roles of the son and daughter were realistically portrayed bv Rowan Profltt and Eleanor MacMurdo Fromtherldiculous to the sublime the next number wosa violin solo bv Mrs. (Rev) Jardirie of Cralﬂud.
