But he had to cross the ocean, so he signed with the crew of s. merchant ship as cabin boy to work his way over. He died at sea through “enctnv action.” The story tells itself. It 1s one of resolution and courage, of that fine in- difference to all risk that is the glory of Can- ada‘! young manhood in this war. It is full of inspiration. Dick Scott has given his life, as others have done and are doing. No one of this brave company ever dies in vain."
