Businesses in the Cnarlottetom area con— tributed to the three day program. Towers and K—Mart bakeries supplied dozens .of do-nuts and McDonalds sponsored a Rise "n Shine pancake A & W gave free coupons for each student.

Dr. Peter Meincke assumed office as second president of UPEI on July 1, 1978

He and his wife and two children, 'Ibm, a 19 year old sophomore at the Uni- versity of 'Ibronto, and 16 year old Carolyn, a student at Colonel Gray Senior High now occupy the President's residence at 181 Fitzroy

The installation of Dr.

held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday,

September 23, 1978, with a ceremony in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall. This will be preceded by an academic procession across campus. Following the installation, an informal reception will be held in the quandrangle, and at noon a luncheon in the University Dining Hall will honor the new pres— ident.
