Wood Islands Ferry Run Is Extended

Ferry service between Wood 15‘ lands and Caribou, N.S., has been extended for an indefinite period beyond the normalI November 30th closing date, it was announced yesterday by a spokesman for Northumberland Ferries Limited. The length of the extension de- pends on the weather, the spokes- man said. In any event it will not be carried on after December 20th It was emphasized that the ser- vice might be discontinued at any time depending on weather conditions.

It marks the first time that this service has been kept in operation after November 30th, which is Sunday.

Roy Good of Charlottetown lost his action against Service Fire In- surance Company of New York in Ihe Supreme Court of Prince Ed- ward Island yesterday. Mr. Jus- tice M.R. MacGuigan gave judge- ment after hearing the jury an- swer two questions as follows:

“1. Was the license of the plain- tiff cancelled within the three years preceding the date of the application for insurance?

Hospital Survey Report Received

The official report on hospital requirements for Prince Edward Island has been received by Hon. Dr. M.L.. Bonnell, minister of health.

Copies of the exhaustive study and comments on it will be re- leased to the press and other in- terested bodies early next week, the minister said yesterday.
