The October rrfeetlng of the Springfield Women's Institute met at the horme of the president. Mrs. J. Ernest Haslam, and open- ed with the Carol. Twelve mem- bers responded to roll call and cne visitor was welcomed. The minutes were read. corrected and approved. $11.00 was realized from the sale of the mat displayed at the district convention.

It was decided to hold a con- cert at a later date. each mem- ber to provide one number for the program.

Correspondence was read and discussed and the boxes of Christ- mas cards distributed to the members. The sick committee re- ported one sick card acknowledg- ed. The treasurer was appointed to order a globe for the school.
