MILANCHOLY Acctnl:NT.—We regret to learn that on The 15th ioiil., while Mr. W. Cofliu, of St. Peter's, was returning to that harbour in a fishing boat, accompanied by a young man in his employment, the boat was struck by a sudden squall, which caused her to upset. The boat instantly disappeared, and both the individuals who were in her suddenly meta watery grave. Mr. Coffin has left a widow, several children, and a numerous eirclnmfrelatives and friends, to lament his loss. Peculiar syn:- patliy isifelt for Mrs. Coffin, as this is the second bereavement of 1his nature which she has been called to suffer—both having oc. 'curred near the same place, and in a similar manner. Her former husband (Capt. Davies) was returning in a Schooner from New- foundland, some years since, and had arrived, we belivve, within sight ofliis own home, when 116 suddenly disappeared: having been, it is supposed, knocked overboard and drowned, as he was never seen afterwards.
