MONTREAL. (CF)-Stock mar- ket prices moved irregularly higher Monday after a mixed tone had prevailed throughout most of the session. Volume was light.

Canada Cement scored a 1 1-3- point gain at 100 1-2 and Labatt at 21 1-2 was up one point. I-fall-point advances were made by Founda- tion at 17 1-2, st. Lawrence Cor- poration st 51 1-2. Aluminium at 63 and Imperial Oil at 33. Interna- tional Nickel was 3-3 better at 41 7-8. Other higher issues were Price Brothers. Powell River, Power Cor- poration. Seagrams and Dominion Bridge.

Walker and Noranda eased 1-: Point at 53 and 73, respectively.

Miscellaneous industrlals. utili- ties and senior oils gained strength while steels and carriers generally held firm. A narrowly mixed tone ruled the paper. beverage, senior metals and bank sections.

Toronto ' Stocks

TORONTO. (CP)-Western oils were the weakest feature as slow trading left the stock market lower Monday. Senior base metals drifted off the juniors had penny loses.

Algoma stood out in weak uran- ium issues with an 85-cent. climb to a 1954 high of 57.80. Manitou- wadge and Bathurst issues ended weak.

Senior golds were down in a solid line and other groups were almost as weak with small price changes.
