A beautifully word- ed address in the form of "poetry" was read by thehostess and the presentation of a Mantle Mirror made by the Secretary, Miss vex-m; Mayne. Miss Murphy, overtaken by surprise, thanked her sister mem- bers in ayery gracious manner. The members all sang “For She's a Jolly Good Fellow" and bounced the bride. At the 1930 general election there Wfla four dual member constituen- cies. -Since then Ottawa has been divided into two single-member un- its, Ottawa East and Ottawa West. Saint-John Albert, N.B., has been reduced to one member. This leaves only Halifax and Queens electhig two membe each.

With the single-vote system in operation throughout the Dominion on election day results will be avail- able probably for all constituencies within a. few hours of the closing of the polls.
