OPERATORS of POTATO MACHINERY

All potato growers and operators of potato machinery are reminded of the amendment to the “Plant Disease Eradication Act” which has refer- ence to the disinfecting of potato. machinery and the registering annually of operators of such such macnines. ;

Under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, all potato Planters, Set Cutters, and other equipment used in the handling of potatoes on more than one farm or for custom work. must be thoroughly disinfected beforé being used on an-

other farm and in the presence of the farmer or.

person who requires its use on such farm.

The steam cleaning and disinfecting service will again be available this year to the operators of potato machinery.

All farmers, or others, who operate Potato Planters. Set Cutter, and other equipment used in the handling of potatoes on more than their own farms., must apply immediately to the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Box 2000, Charlotte- town, for'a license and enclose the license fee of fifty cents (50c). When application for a license is received, a record book will be forwarded the operator and the receipt of the record book will be evidence that th® operator has registered.
