Thursday was recovery and recuperation day for

all hands (after the party, it was sorely needed!). -

Residents were back at it again on Friday, however, looking for a new use for whipped cream... They decided on a pie-throwing event, with the respective house committees on_ the receiving end (at least that was the plan); As it turned out, several bystanders were caught in the Fray). A total of 22 pies were auctioned off, the proceeds of which went to the Hall’s donation to cancer research.

Saturday afternoon saw a school bus full of Marian and Bernardine Hallers head out to Brackley for, you guessed it, a Beach Party, which included a scavenger hunt, a sand sculpture contest, a touch footbal game, and lots of blowing sand. The highlight of the afternoon moved to be

the Timbit-stuffing contest, in which contestants crammed as many small spherical desserts into their mouths as possible. A few brave souls even tested the

water, while several others went horseback-riding. The

week ended with a bang with both Bernardine and Marian Halls participating in Terry Fox day. The guys, showing off their lonarge, muscular bodies, threw themselves behind a small brown chevette and pushed it along their own designated route. While the girls (and of course Paul) chose the less energetic way and only made it as far as the corner of Belvedere and

windows and enticed the motorists to donate to this worthy cause. The day was very successful with the guys collecting approx. $600.00 and the girls $500.00. All in all the week was a a blast with lots of participation in every event. This is one small taste of what is to follow! .
