Former Native Passes Away |

A former Island man, Peter C. Gillis, a native of St. Peter's Bay, died Oct. 3° in Quincy, Mass., after: a brief illness. He was 77 years of-age. 5

A son of the late John D. Gil- lis and Catherine Campbell, Mr. Gillis left the ‘province more than 50 years ago, and was em- ployed with the Boston Transit Company for many years. ..

He is survived by his wife, the former Alice Lund of Char- lottetown, one son, James, and one daughter, Mary, Mrs. Jo- seph DeCoste, all residents of
